The feeling of sickness passes. My eyes open in a jolt. Is this real? Am I awake? I feel my body vibrate. The intensity increases and the sickness returns. I feel like every atom in my body wants to break their chains. I open my mouth to scream, but no sound comes forth. Every word, sound, picture, being, star, planet, atom and quark flash before my eyes and ears. All in one instant, the universe reveals itself to me. Everything that ever was. Everything that ever will be. All that exists now. Every secret whispered to a childhood friend. Every declaration from empty mountain tops. Every thought not dared to speak. Everything that is anything. Suddenly, I see how it all works. How it fits. How it all matters. Every last bit of it matters. It all works together as one. I am not alone. I am not separate. Everything I am is part of everything else.

The vibrations fade. I fall to the ground as if I were floating. I am awake. I find myself at the end of the cave. How long had I been traveling? Did I go anywhere? I must have, I am on the other side of the mountain now. I hear birds. I smell the ocean. I feel reborn. I emerge a new person. I know. I know what I couldn't know before.
