What A Mess

Song 185

Well, my computer held up to the rigors of recording today. That is a relief. I must be absorbing some of the "Led, White, and Blue" weekend that the radio station is playing... this song definitely has some Zepplin beats going in it. The electric guitar is actually modeled after early AC/DC and the Bass after The Who. So, I got classic rock all over this one. I like the way the song turned out. I only wish I could sound more like Robert Plant for songs like this. But, oh well, I gotta be me...

lyrics

Every day it takes me over, I don't know what I can do
To shake this feeling, to stop from falling down
It's in my bones, it's in the time I spend
Going nowhere, doing nothing
To send my worries on a permanent vacation

I lost a lot by looking backwards, but I feel some music coming
Through the endless static, I feel so tragic
But I can't worry my life away, I've got shit to do today

I got no time to think it over
I got no time to take a breath
If I tried to look it over
I might see what a mess I've made, got it made

I miss the point when I look away
I don't trust in what I've got to say
Words misleading, I'm silently screaming
Chase away those questions, it's my only lesson

I got no time to think it over
I got no time to take a breath
If I tried to look it over
I might see what a mess I've made, got it made

Worlds fall down, wounds abound
Is it for me? Is destiny for real?

I got no time to think it over
I got no time to take a breath
If I tried to look it over
I might see what a mess I've made
