Song 164

I ended up back in standard tuning today. After fiddling around playing other songs and wasting time, my brain woke up and I wrote this song. It turned out pretty good. I like how a song written on acoustic guitar can work either stripped down or fleshed out lushly, thusly... and stuff.

lyrics

Only once did I see that clearly, all my days
Surely I could find that place again, someday
Still the heart beats on

I'll be holding on tight
Oh how the mighty fall down
Don't stop me now
I'm on my way down

A hopeful smile hidden in my eyes, all my days
Surely I can last through this storm, some way
Still those cold winds blow

I'll be holding on tight
Oh how the mighty fall down
Don't stop me now
I'm on my way down

Sunday is someday, but I don't have the time
