Song 196

It's a beautiful day in the neighborhood. A bit warm for my liking, but the humidity is low and it's sunny and breezy out. These kind of days tend to bring out my "nicer" side when it comes to the songs I write. I feel like today's song is rather breezy, even if the lyrics may seem a bit too esoteric to make much sense. But I think they do make sense... without actually making sense... if that makes any sense. Ya know? At any rate, I like how it turned out.

lyrics

Starry eyes with faces in the wind
I slip on by, but I know it's not the end

Cotton mouth, with vipers on my trail
Looking south, the pictures never fail

I'm in love with my whole world
Even when that love hurts so bad
I'd never trade it

Itchy fingers and scars so hard to trace
I hide the hunger, sitting still, stone-faced

I'm in love with my whole world
Even when that love hurts so bad
I'd never trade it

I hold my breath until I find my way
I brace myself, I know I have to stay whole

I'm in love with my whole world
Even when that love hurts so bad
I'd never trade it
