Song 157

This song makes me feel dizzy. The interlude guitar riff is really swirly. It feels a little bit "Tom Waits" inspired to me. I'm not sure why my brain came up with these words, but they seem to fit the feel of the song. It's really a stream of consciousness kind of way of writing. It produces some interesting results, if not too cryptic. On to the next one!

lyrics

I'm not good with naming names
Broken pieces rattle through my brains
I break my neck and turn around
But I'm the only one that hears the sound

I'm not fine with being gone
I twist it up and move along
I wrench my grip from greedy hands
But I'm the only one that understands

I've been counting the time spent
Lost in space without the rent

I'm not done with living yet
But I have dreams I can't forget
I slip away and chase my tail
But I'm the only one that ever fails

I've been walking slow just to get a glimpse
I know the words I say make no sense

Playing opossum underground
Begging for a different sound
I catch wind of the rumor mill
Making mountains molehills
