Song 178

As opposed to yesterday's song, there are not many chord changes in this song. Sometimes it's the right way to go with simpler chords. But today I messed with a simple chord progression and layered lots of instruments. It became a sort of wall of sound. Great for headphone listening. There's a lot going on in this song for a song that doesn't really have a lot going on in it...

lyrics

Stand in place, and take what you've been given
Run your race, and pretend you've been forgiven
It'a a false kindness

Caught you in a snare unfair
Slipping away and cheering the sadness
I'm locked in with all of the madness

Drain out the blues, wonder where mankind would be
Without your clever clues, I'm sure you know what's best for me
It's a false concern

Caught you in a snare unfair
Slipping away and cheering the sadness
I'm locked in with all of the madness

I hope you say I told you so

Caught you in a snare unfair
Slipping away and cheering the sadness
I'm locked in with all of the madness

I hope you say I told you so
