Song 334

I messed up numbering my songs this month and didn't catch it. This song is actually 334, and yesterday was 333, not 323. So, that's fixed now, but I'm not going to go back and reedit my blog posts. So, anyway, moving on...

This song came together very quickly. It was literally the first thing I played when I picked up my guitar this morning. I used a little trickery to get it to sound like a 12 string guitar, because, well, I like how 12 strings sound. Overall, it's a pretty simple song in 3/4ths time. It has a nice flow to it. And a beat you can dance to... if you want to waltz.

lyrics

Head in the clouds, one foot in the grave
I once lost my way on that road to salvation

Wounds binding my hands down every winding road
Fortunes displaced and my weakness displayed

Life on the road was never for me
I can't help but wonder what's been waiting for me

Tunes rattle around, a memory of some other life
There's still some future I have yet to see

Oh be gentile with this dream I hold

I once lost my way, one foot in the grave
I once lost my way
