Ghosts That Never Were

about

Song 209

I let out a big sigh of relief. I'm all caught up and back on track for my project. This song has an eerie feel to it, due to the electric piano. It has an almost ethereal quality to it. The instrumentation is pretty similar to the last song, but it has a church organ in it, rather than a synth. It turned out pretty good.

lyrics

When I was a child I always knew
The time I killed, killed me too
I never saw a mocking bird
I only hear the call of wounded souls pretending

Why does the lightning strike my way
Is there so much left to say to me

When I see the smile I can't help but ask
Why do they all have to wear a mask
I never heard musings told
I only saw reactions to ghosts that never were

Why does the wind blow my way
You can't unleash the worry I hold at bay, in me

I thought the world should know
That I'm not letting go
There's always another mystery to come

Why does the lightning strike my way
Why does the wind blow my way
