Song number 49

All those crazy days. The days spent down and out, and over and under. I don’t miss those days. Sleeping in fields, being harassed by the fuzz. Not good times. Especially when you’re working two jobs and still can’t make enough to properly live. But, everything leads somewhere. If I didn’t have that, I wouldn’t have this. If I didn’t have this, I wouldn’t have much. Such is life. But I don’t die with the winter, I’m evergreen.

Today’s song reminds me a lot of 80’s music. Maybe it’s the synths and drum sound. I think it works. One cool thing about this song is the solo. It’s a guitar, doubled with a synth that is being controlled by my guitar with a magical plugin that converts audio into MIDI signals with no special pickup. It’s really fun to play synth sounds using a guitar. Here’s the song:

lyrics

It's driving me crazy, counting down the days
I'm thinking maybe, I shouldn't be afraid

My wild ways have led me home
All I may say could lead to the unknown

I rush to the streets as rebirth leads to death
But I'm evergreen, but always out of breath

My wild ways have led me home
All I may say could lead to the unknown

I won't miss those days, sleeping under stars
There is no virtue, fighting what we are

My wild ways have led me home
All I may say could lead to the unknown

You'll find me fighting to run in place
You'll find me fighting to stay awake

My wild ways have led me home
All I may say could lead to the unknown
